HSB at home
Can’t make it out to Golden Gate Park? Catch the festival on the webcast, which streams select live performances during the event, as well as archiving them to watch later.
Fun for the whole family
Kids are welcome at this event, as are dogs. Just be sure to keep your critters on a leash and your kids in sight. The large crowds can be scary for both pups and kids alike.
Plan your day
Set up camp early if you want to actually see the stage, and check the schedule to see when and where your favorite artists are performing. Chances are you’ll want to see two bands at once, so be prepared to make choices! Bring friends and family who will man the fort while you’re running in between stages.
No camping
When we say, “Set up camp,” we mean picnic blankets and lawn chairs, not tents. While this festival lasts three days, there is no camping or place-holding in the park, so if you’re coming on multiple days, be ready to pack it all in and do it again tomorrow!
Set out on the Porch
While most people crowd around the Rooster Stage, where many of the big names play, the Porch Stage offers intimate concerts with up-and-comers, and not nearly the amount of people to contend with.
Wear layers
As they say in San Francisco, we get all four seasons in a day. While HSB typically sees gorgeous weather, it can be cold and foggy in the morning, hot and sunny by noon, and raining come sundown.
